So close....

Well we met with Nathan at the embassy and he reviewed everything and it is in order. He signed off on everything and I swore an oath on our applications and the only thing left is to pay the money right? Wrong.... He was not able to reach the judge as of yet and until he does he wont issue the Visa. He says as long as he speaks with the judge by tomorrow he will issue it even on a Friday- keep in mind they only work half days on Friday at the embassy. My hair may be completely gray by the time we return- but we shall return! I really hope and pray we get it Friday and travel no later than Sunday. Masseh needs her Mama and so do I. Thanks to all for your love and prayers- it is a real force for good believe me. Masseh is feeling happy despite the blisters so we'll keep an eye on them but its good to hear her laughing so much. Tell Kaya KAKAKKAKAKKA. Love Love...............................................!

I called David this morning and he told me what happened. So disappointing. Just so you know, he has to get a hold of the judge tomorrow because all the judges are leaving for a month starting on Monday. David was going to text Nathan to let him know that today and tell Charles to tell the judge to call the embassy. Who's Charles anyway? You may want to go to the embassy in the morning to make sure Nathan knows about the judges holiday. Call me as soon as you know even if it's the middle of the night. Love you.

My husband is on the phone right now with David. We are praying our tail feathers off right now for you.

Our court date is now no longer on the books since the judges are going on holiday. They swiped the docket clean. So now we wait for another court date. Grrrrr. But at least we weren't in the air flying to Uganda.

Praying you get to come home this weekend!

Hey honey, I just got off the phone with our pediatrician and he had me call infectious diseases at Primary Children's. They want you to get a copy of all of Masseh's records from the clinic. If they don't have a copy machine then at least write down the medication she has been taking and doses she got for malaria, the infection etc. Also, he said that if her leg is red and swollen that that is very serious and could indicate a bone infection . Also, the blisters on her feet could be from a strep or staph infection as well. I need you to tell me exactly how she is doing now. How is her fever, her leg, is she walking, is it red or swollen, was there an actual injury to it etc. We really have to have the visa issued tomorrow. Maybe you should go to the courthouse, find the judge, call Nathan and hold the phone to the judge's ear until he hears whatever it is he needs to hear :) I'm only half kidding. Love you, repeating Mormon 5:23 in my head.

i believe it was an injury but only joyce has any input. she said that masseh was fine that morning and walked to breakfast, but after being removed from her highchair she didnt want to stand or walk on her right leg. my guess is that she was sitting indian style like she always does and when she was lifted out the knee got wrenched. if you remember seeing women here(including joyce) lifting infants around by grabbing one arm and pulling sharply- not uncommon at all. jamie and i figure that is what happened since it came on at that exact moment. of course the result of an injury can be a number of symptoms, including fever. she did run a slight fever again this afternoon but eating lunch and ibuprofen cleared it up. she seems to have run a temp once or twice daily since it happened but no diarrhea/ vomiting or other signs the body is trying to burn out something bad. eating great and cheerful. of course there is no way her leg would ever appear red(think about it) but it is slightly swollen more than her left. she isnt walking but can put some weight on it now. the x-rays were negative and each day the leg is less tender it seems- at first she didnt want it touched at all now she can sit normally and doesnt mind being manipulated a bit. would the antibiotic she is already taking be what she needs for strep or staph? it is called spamclox (it contains ampicilline and cloxacilline-taken orally)that is why they gave her an antibiotic just in case of secondary infection. so yes i think it began as an injury and we are treating it as several different possibilities so i'll talk to wentz and get more advice and her records for the past month for us to have. we will do everything we can think of to get nathan and the judge on the same phone line by morning believe me. please continue to pray that we get home soon and masseh is able to get healthy and strong soon! love to all! trying to stay strong!
